Proverbs Chapter 1 tells us that The Foundation of All Knowledge begins with reverence for Yahweh.

Proverbs 13:22 is needed today.
While few believers study The Book of Proverbs anymore, the accumulated wisdom contained within it would greatly benefit all of mankind. The Inerrant Principles hidden within their pages would factually solve many of Earth's current problems. Rather than reading The New Testament Scriptures over and over, yet again, why not broaden your mind; and graze amidst the verdant lushness of ' The Seldom Touched Pasture '? Unlike The Gospels of Yahshua, the: " Streams of Living Water " - within this less trodden pasture - have seldom been muddied by the feet of others.

Who knows, you might even find that the True Knowledge and Biblical Wisdom to be found there will assist in your own studies elsewhere. After all, that's exactly what is claimed within the first seven verses of The Proverbs... and one of its plainly stated purposes is to teach us Scriptural Understanding!

Proverbs Chapter 1, Begins:
" The Proverbs of Solomon, the son of David, king of Israel:
To know Wisdom and Instruction, To perceive The Words Of Understanding, To receive the instruction of: Wisdom, Justice, Judgment, and Equity; To give Prudence to the simple, To the young man Knowledge and Discretion -
A Wise Man will hear and increase learning, And A Man Of Understanding will attain wise counsel, To understand A Proverb and An Enigma, The Words Of The Wise and their Riddles.
The Fear [ Reverence and Holy Respect ] of Yahweh is The Beginning Of Knowledge, But Fools despise: Wisdom and Instruction. " - Proverbs 1:1-7.

Although this is a very short and remarkably concise introduction for The Book of Proverbs, it says an awful lot within those few first words. It discusses the fundamental value of These Proverbs with respect to all thirteen other Interrelated Mental Skills... and most amazingly of all, it does so in only two [ jam packed ] sentences! How's that, for personal brevity? King Solomon shows us, from the very beginning, that Wisdom doesn't require a multiplicity of words. In fact, in a much later study we'll [ actually ] read the following Proverbs:

" In The Multitude Of Words sin is not lacking, But he who restrains his lips is wise.
The tongue of the righteous is choice silver; Yet the heart of the wicked is worth little.
The lips of the righteous feed many, But fools die for lack of wisdom. " - Proverbs 10:19-21.

Moreover, having practiced  the exact opposite for most of my own life, I can assure you of ' The Inherent Value ' of this particular Proverb. The Natural Possession of a: Boisterous, Talkative, and Gregarious Personal Nature - is a far greater curse than a blessing. I can, personally, assure you of this... having been born with just such an individual nature. But, I greatly digress....

Proverbs Chapter 1, Continues:
" My son, hear the instruction of your father, And do not forsake the law of your mother; For they will be graceful ornaments upon your head, and chains [ precious jewelry ] about your neck.
My son, if sinners [ evil persons ] entice you, do not consent [ to go with them ].

If they say, ' Come with us, Let us in wait to shed blood; Let us lurk secretly for the innocent without cause; Let us swallow them alive like Sheol [ The Grave ], And whole, like those who go down to The Pit; We shall find all kinds of precious possessions, We shall fill our houses with spoil; Cast in your lot among us, Let us all have one purse ' - My son, do not walk in the way with them, Keep your foot from their path; For their feet run towards Evil, And they make haste to shed blood.
Surely, in vain the net is spread In the sight of any bird; But they lie in wait for their own blood, they lurk secretly for their own lives. So are the ways of everyone who is greedy for gain; It takes away the life of its owners. " - Proverbs 1:8-19.

In Proverbs 1:8-19, we read about ' The Importance In Shunning The Companionship Of Evil ' - which teaches us good: Judgment, Prudence, and Discretion. While many today will so often tell you, that we should not: Judge, Condemn, or Discriminate -  is that, what The Scriptures are ' Truly Teaching '? Unlike so many today, King Solomon understood that Yahweh requires balance in all things! While we have no lawful authority: ' To Judge, Condemn, or Discriminate Against The Sinner ' - we are lawfully commanded: ' To Judge, Condemn, and Discriminate Against The Sin '.

Proverbs Chapter 1, Then Finishes:
" Wisdom calls aloud outside; She raises her voice in the open squares [ the marketplaces ]. She cries out in the chief concourses, At the openings of the gates in the city She speaks her words:
How long, you simple ones, will you love simplicity? For scoffers delight in their scorning, And fools hate knowledge. Turn at my reproof; Surely I will pour out my spirit upon you; I will make my words known to you.
Because I have called and you refused [ to listen to me ], I have stretched out my hand and no one regarded [ my personal companionship ], Because you disdained all my counsel [ when I pleaded with you ], And would have none of my reproof [ when I tried diligently to help you ],
I also will laugh at your calamity; I will mock when your terror comes, When your terror comes like a storm [ in great quantity ], And your destruction comes like a whirlwind  [ in horrific ferocity ], When distress and anguish come upon you [ you are overwhelmed by these things].
Then they will call upon me, but I will not answer; They will seek me diligently , but they will not find me. Because they hated knowledge And did not choose the fear [ reverence for ] The Mighty One, They would have none of my counsel And despised all my reproof, Therefore they shall eat the fruit of their own way, And be filled to the full with their own fancies.
For the turning away of the simple will slay them, And the complacency of fools will destroy them; But whoever listens to me will dwell safely, And will be secure, without fear of evil. " - Proverbs 1:20-33.

Although Yahweh is most assuredly ' Our Heavenly Father ', every father has a limited time of patience... and, in this respect, The Mighty One is no different than any other! While He is: " Long suffering, for He would that none should perish " - He has set a specified date, beyond which His Holy Spirit shall be withdrawn.... Meanwhile, Proverbs 1:20-33 reiterates this readily-apparent fact, quite clearly.... The Day of Judgment Is Coming!

Ahava and Shalom.

May Yahweh's: Love and Peace - be upon you!
